The impact you'll makeWe are seeking an experienced cloud data platform technology Lead to join our team. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud data technology with a primary focus on Azure and additional support across AWS and GCP environments. . The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, security, governance, and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes providing technical direction while actively supporting day-to-day infrastructure activities.
What you'll do- Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud data technology solutions across Microsoft Azure environments.
- Define cloud architecture standards and design guidelines, participate in architecture reviews, and help teams implement well-architected framework principles.
- Develop and maintain a cloud technology strategy aligned with business priorities, governance requirements, and operational standards.
- Provision, configure, and manage Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, containers, serverless services, and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Implement cloud governance, identity and access management, security controls, compliance practices, and business continuity/disaster recovery processes.
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency through monitoring, automation, standard procedures, and incident response practices.
- Support engineering teams by promoting consistent cloud engineering practices and evaluating tools that improve automation, monitoring, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Drive AI adoption by identifying opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools and automation that improve cloud operations, engineering productivity, monitoring, and service reliability.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects while leading cloud engineering communities of practice to promote shared standards and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, security, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Who we're looking for- 12+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform operations, enterprise data technology modernization, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud technology with Microsoft Azure as the preferred platform. Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, automation, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security, governance frameworks, resource provisioning, configuration management, CI/CD integration, scripting, and operational support for enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise application platforms, data integrations, APIs, databases, manufacturing systems, or business-critical operational environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, lifecycle management, metadata, access controls, compliance requirements, and operational quality frameworks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions, partner with business and engineering stakeholders, and translate operational needs into scalable cloud data platform solutions.
Preferred qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant cloud technology certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
