Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and automation-focused Windows and Virtualization Specialist to join our team. You'll play a key role in supporting and advancing our enterprise-grade Windows Server and virtualization platforms, with a strong emphasis on scripting, automation, and secure infrastructure delivery in a financial services environment.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and virtual networking/storage.
  • Support and enhance Omnissa VDI (formerly VMware Horizon) environments.
  • Integrate and manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for hybrid identity and access management.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks, configuration management, and reporting.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure systems meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and system changes in accordance with ITIL practices.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on penetration testing remediation and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Windows Server administration, with a background that may include endpoint engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
  • Experience integrating infrastructure tasks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven expertise in VMware vSphere design, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with VDI platforms, preferably Omnissa VDI or VMware Horizon.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid identity models.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and security features.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience in financial services is a plus.

The minimum base salary for this role is $120,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates' compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
