We are seeking a dedicated Platform Engineer with five+ years’ experience to join our Platform Engineering group at the Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC). Our team is responsible for building, managing, and modernizing critical systems infrastructure. We provide cutting-edge Kubernetes containerization and virtualization solutions designed to support both modern architecture and legacy systems.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our infrastructure modernization efforts, ensuring our platforms are scalable, secure, and highly available. You will work heavily with Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and automation tools to empower developers and support critical operations—including emerging in-house AI initiatives.

This is a terrific opportunity to apply your technical skills to NASA's historic efforts, including sustaining operations on the International Space Station (ISS) and powering the Artemis program—which is sending humans back to the Moon and laying the foundation for Mars exploration. Be part of the team in Huntsville, Alabama—the Rocket City—driving advancements in human spaceflight and helping shape the future of exploration.

  • GitOps & Automation: Strong experience with GitOps methodologies using Visual Studio Code, GitLab, and ArgoCD. Proficiency in configuration management using Ansible.
  • Virtualization: Experience with OpenShift Virtualization.
  • Observability & Logging: Hands-on experience deploying and managing Prometheus/Grafana, Loki logging stacks, and Splunk (log collection and analysis).
