Quantum Sky is seeking a Platform Network Administrator. This role is ideal for someone with a foundation in IT systems, infrastructure, technical support, or networking who is eager to grow into a highly skilled Network Administrator. What matters most is your curiosity, initiative, determination, and willingness to continuously learn.

 

You'll join a team of experienced network, platform, and software engineers responsible for building and operating next-generation data center networks that support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing workloads. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading technologies while developing expertise in large-scale, mission-critical networking environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documentation, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-performance data center networking infrastructure.
  • Learn, support, and progressively develop expertise with advanced networking technologies, including BGP, ECMP, VXLAN, Spine-Leaf architectures, MCLAG, RoCEv2, and related technologies.
  • Assist in identifying performance trends, capacity constraints, and emerging issues before they impact services or customers.
  • Partner with experienced engineers to deploy, optimize, and scale network infrastructure supporting AI and other demanding workloads.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Participate in network upgrades, implementations, testing, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously expand technical expertise through hands-on experience, self-directed learning, mentorship, and training opportunities.
  • Travel up to 20% as needed to support deployments, installations, maintenance activities, and operational support.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, SNMP,  and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with monitoring, telemetry, observability, alerting, or performance management tools.
  • Exposure to Linux systems or Linux-based Network Operating Systems (NOS).

Clearance: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $190,000-$205,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
