Plastic Surgeon
San Diego, California: Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group

Full-Time opening to join an 800+ provider multi-specialty practice with dedicated Surgery Department

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group (SRSMG) is seeking a board-certified, microsurgical fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon with Subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand to join our growing Plastic Surgery program. This physician will play a key role in advancing our microsurgical breast reconstruction and limb salvage programs, working closely with general surgeons and breast surgical oncology. Cosmetic surgery represents a small component of the practice, with the majority of cases focused on complex reconstructive care.

Total Compensation Range: $474,509.42-$710K+ Salary includes productivity/bonuses. Compensation is subject to the individual department/division compensation plans. More information is discussed during the recruitment process.

Practice Details

  • Work Schedule:
    • 4-day work week: Approximately 34 patient contact hours per week
  • Outpatient Volume: ~25 patients per day

Clinical Focus

  • Microsurgical breast reconstruction
  • Trauma reconstruction
  • Cancer reconstruction
  • Limb salvage

Call Schedule

  • 1:3 call rotation
  • Call coverage in 1-week blocks
  • Includes coverage of own patients during the week
  • Weekend coverage limited to Sharp Memorial Hospital (SMH) only
  • Inpatient consults with blocked OR time for operative cases
