The Department of Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University Health System is seeking a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with fellowship training and/or significant experience in reconstructive microsurgery to join the Division of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery. This position supports the continued growth of our complex reconstruction programs across clinical, academic, and educational missions.
Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidates may be considered for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor roles.
Position Highlights- Academic faculty appointment within the Duke University School of Medicine
- Practice emphasis on complex oncologic, traumatic, and lymphatic reconstruction, including breast reconstruction
- Opportunity to participate in super-microsurgical and lymphatic surgery programs, including advanced approaches to tissue transplantation and complex reconstruction following cancer and trauma
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across surgical oncology, trauma, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, breast surgery, and other specialties

Qualifications- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- Completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency program
- Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery
- Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic advancement
- Microsurgical fellowship training and/or significant microsurgical experience preferred
- Candidates at all academic ranks-Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor-will be considered
