The Department of Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University Health System is seeking a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an interest in broad general reconstructive surgery to join the Division of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery. The practice is based at Duke Regional Hospital with operative and clinical support at Duke University Hospital. Additional fellowship training is not required, and candidates completing plastic surgery residency are encouraged to apply.
Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Candidates may be considered at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.

- Broad general reconstructive practice, including soft tissue and skin cancer reconstruction, wound and complex closure, abdominal wall and trunk reconstruction, breast surgery, hand and upper extremity coverage, and inpatient and emergency department consultation
- Operative and subspecialty support at Duke Regional Hospital and at Duke University Hospital
- Opportunity to develop an aesthetic surgery practice, with dedicated aesthetic clinic and operative resources
- Mentorship, onboarding support, and practice development resources for early-career surgeons

- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across general surgery, oncology, trauma, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, breast surgery, and other specialties

Qualifications- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- Completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency program
- Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery
- Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic advancement
- Interest in general reconstructive surgery; no additional fellowship training required
- Aesthetic surgery training or interest welcomed
- Candidates at all academic ranks-Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor-will be considered
