Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manager, Plant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leads the plant EHS function and drives accountability for environmental, health, and safety programs. This role partners across the organization to advance regulatory compliance, strengthen a best in class safety culture, and support continuous improvement efforts that contribute to outstanding safety performance.

  • Lead and administer plant environmental, health, and safety programs and processes.

  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment through proactive EHS leadership.

  • Conduct and oversee accident investigations, corrective actions, safety inspections, audits, lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permit programs.

  • Drive safety culture initiatives and behavioral based safety programs with a zero incident focus.

  • Partner with leadership and corporate EHS teams to support ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 initiatives.

  • Manage environmental compliance programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.

  • Develop and facilitate EHS, Department of Transportation, OSHA, and environmental training programs.

  • Oversee procedures for labeling, storage, spill response, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.


  • Compile, prepare, and submit required environmental and safety reports and serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and EHS inquiries.

  • Maintain emergency contingency planning and monitor environmental, health, and safety management systems and documentation.

  • Ability to evaluate, adapt, and apply environmental operations techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and change management skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of managerial practices, company policies, procedures, and products.

  • Commitment to following company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct.


Compensation & Benefits:
  • Expected Hiring Salary Range: $98,900 - $141,330 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

  • Onsite Work Environment: This requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
