Full Job Description
Position Summary:

Develops and implements a comprehensive maintenance program to minimize downtime and enhance asset longevity. Develops and monitors budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality and safety. Oversees engineering projects, including installations, facility upgrades and process improvements, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution. Plans, leads, and supervises plant engineering functions and maintenance of the equipment and facility, MRO parts, capital expenditures and project management. Develops tools, techniques, and systems to drive equipment uptime and utilization, and to reduce unplanned downtime of the production and support equipment. Ensures focus and direction achieves and sustains safe operations within the engineering and maintenance department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Leads, supervises, trains, develops, and mentors lead men, technicians and personnel in the maintenance and engineering department.
  2. Plans, coordinates, and leads activities and systems necessary to ensure safe effective asset maintenance management of all production equipment and facilities.
  3. Uses results of internal and external audits to drive improvement. Acts as Quality Management Representative for the plant.
  4. Recommends capital investment as necessary to maintain uptime and utilization necessary to support the achievement of the production plan.
  5. Implements action plans to achieve flexibility of the work force and identifies training needs for all direct reports. Communicates those needs to Human Resources and helps to implement action plans that drive the development and analytical skill within the departments.
  6. Maintains accountability and responsibility to continuous improvement within all areas of maintenance and engineering with a focus on safety, organization, and housekeeping.
  7. Maintains operating budget for facilities engineering and maintenance.
  8. Support operations, process and quality in the identification and implementation of scrap reduction and process control projects.
  9. Interprets company policy for direct reports and serves as a role model in the fair and consistent administration of all policies and procedures.
  10. Develops and encourages a high level of employee morale and engagement.
  11. Other work related duties as assigned.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance and engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting required.
  • Proficient in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data driven decision making.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques with a main focus on total productive maintenance and lean flow required.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; proficiency in project management software required.
    Qualifications Desired:
  • CAD experience.
  • Magnet Wire experience or knowledge.
  • Six-Sigma
