Engineering and Technical Support
Provide engineering support for facility, pipeline, and installation projects from concept development through commissioning and closeout
Apply engineering principles to resolve design, field, operational, maintenance, reliability, and construction-related challenges
Develop recommendations that balance safety, compliance, constructability, cost, schedule, production impact, reliability, and maintainability
Provide clear technical direction to operations, field leadership, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Identify recurring problems, perform or support root cause analysis, and develop sustainable corrective actions rather than short-term fixes
Facility and Pipeline Design
Design and evaluate production facilities, separators, tanks, pipeline systems, and associated infrastructure
Develop and review facility layouts, equipment arrangements, piping designs, pressure control schemes, utility systems, pipeline routing, tie-ins, and mechanical installation concepts
Prepare and review engineering calculations, hydraulic and capacity evaluations, equipment sizing, pressure ratings, material selections, drawings, specifications, data sheets, and construction packages
Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, equipment proposals, and fabrication documentation for technical accuracy and operational suitability
Ensure designs are safe, constructible, maintainable, compliant, and suitable for reliable operations and future expansion where appropriate
Capital Project Development and Execution
Lead or support capital and operational projects involving facilities, pipelines, infrastructure replacement, and reliability improvements
Develop project scopes, cost estimates, AFEs, design bases, schedules, execution plans, technical justifications, and material requirements
Monitor project scope, schedule, quality, and cost; resolve technical issues and communicate risks or required corrective actions
Maintain project and engineering records, including calculations, drawings, redlines, P&IDs, as-builts, test records, equipment data, and closeout documentation
Construction, Commissioning, and Field Support
Provide engineering support during construction, installation, maintenance outages, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and startup
Resolve conflicts among drawings, specifications, field conditions, equipment configurations, site constraints, and operational needs
Review field changes, requests for information, material substitutions, nonconformance issues, and design deviations
Verify installations align with approved engineering intent, specifications, company standards, and turnover requirements
Support pre-job planning, constructability reviews, punch lists, deficiency resolution, commissioning readiness, and lessons learned
Regulatory, Contractor, and Operational Support
Ensure engineering designs, recommendations, and project activities support applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements, including Management of Change processes
Provide technical information, regulatory submittals, inspections, audits, compliance reviews, and incident investigations
Provide technical oversight to engineering consultants, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and service providers
Review contractor proposals and technical submittals; support bid evaluations, scope reviews, technical clarifications, and project kickoff activities
Support operational troubleshooting, maintenance and reliability improvements, CMMS data quality, failure-trend evaluations, and equipment replacement decisions
Comply with Seneca's EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
