Responsibilities

  • Provide complete medical examinations to assess health conditions

  • Counsel and educate patients under the supervision of the Physician
  • Adhere to established medical staff policies and procedures
  • Be available for on-call duties and fill in for co-workers when necessary

Physician Assistant

Summary: The Physician Assistant provides the patient with cost effective care in a competent manner, to diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders consistent with medical protocols established with the collaborating physician.

Hours: We offer flexible schedules with both part time and full time opportunities. General daytime hours Monday - Friday and at least one late night per week.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Provide complete medical examines to determine general health condition
  • Order and interpret tests as needed.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses by determining a plan of action by collaborating with your supervising Provider.
  • Administer or prescribe treatment and drugs.
  • Providing patient counseling and education consistent with the direction of the supervising Physician.
  • Adhere to the medical staff policies and procedures.

Fills in when needed by co-workers and is on call at times

Experience and Skills
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1 year experience, 2-4 years preferred
  • NJ Physician Assistant license, DEA, and CPR
  • Experience working in a practice environment, community health experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred
