Full Job Description
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Clinic!

In this role, you will function as a healthcare provider who, working collaboratively with a health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting. You will use your clinical expertise in working with the patient population in the specified specialty.

Primary duties will be:

  • Administer care to patients, under the direction of their supervising physician
  • Examine patient and diagnose their condition
  • Study and interpret patient's tests and medical records
  • Assess patient's clinical problems, as well as health care needs
  • Provide consultation with the doctors, specialists, and other medical professionals
  • Determine necessary interventions and procedures
  • Assist with the management of bone health patients
  • Prescribe varied forms of drugs and other treatment methods to patients
  • Provide consultation to patients and help establish a plan of care for the patient
  • Take after-hours phone calls and occasional admissions or hospital consultation


Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Current licensure in the State of Idaho
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Medical Program or Nursing Program
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire
  • Must be able to achieve ACLS certification
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Prior experience with Joint Commission continual readiness
  • Experience in Spine and/or Pain Management preferred
