For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000.00 sign on bonus for Physical Therapists!

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months of separation from employment.

Pen Bay Hospital offers care in more than 30 specialty areas and i s a designated stroke center, providing stroke patients with the best possible opportunity for recovery

The Inpatient/Skilled Rehab department at t his location is a cohesive and innovative team that cares for a wide rang e of patients.

Newly graduating Physical Therapists are welcome!

Ideal clinical experience for a new graduate would be inpatient and / or skilled rehab

Full Time (32 hrs )

  • Schedule: (4) 8 hour days - Sun, Mon, Tues & Fri


  • Or rotating Sundays with an additional day during the week


Summary:

The Physical Therapist role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required .

License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.

Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.06 to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
