Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility activities
- Monitor resident performance, response to treatment, and progress toward goals
- Communicate patient progress and treatment outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and families on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety strategies
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements
- Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning activities
- Ensure a safe and positive therapy experience for all residents
Qualifications- Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Acute Care settings preferred
- Knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training preferred
