  • Educate residents and families on exercise and safety strategies

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility activities
  • Monitor resident performance, response to treatment, and progress toward goals
  • Communicate patient progress and treatment outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate residents and families on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety strategies
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements
  • Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning activities
  • Ensure a safe and positive therapy experience for all residents


Qualifications
  • Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Acute Care settings preferred
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training preferred
