In-Office | Hybrid available after successful onboarding periodSchedule: Typically Monday-Friday from 9 am - 6 pm Overview:The PHP Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality database-driven web applications with a focus on backend functionality. This role involves collaborating with a team of developers to deliver robust and scalable web solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in web development, relational databases, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
π Key Responsibilities:- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using PHP, SQL and relevant web technologies
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and support to junior developers
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve skills and knowledge continuously
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, including user guides and API documentation
- Contribute to the improvement of the web development process and practices within the team
- Work efficiently to ensure uptime and optimum user experience
- Understanding of common web application security concerns and their mitigation
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of Linux servers
π‘ Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in PHP development
- Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, HANA, and SQL Server) and ability to write and optimize SQL queries
- Strong understanding of version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with web performance optimization
- Experience in Linux system administration
- Experience developing and integrating with RESTful APIs
π‘ Desirable Skills:- Knowledge of CSS and JavaScript (Bootstrap 5 is a plus)
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
