Overview

Alliance Cancer Specialists is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmacy Services Manager to oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations across our oncology practice.

The Pharmacy Services Manager provides leadership and oversight for all pharmacy operations, including clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory management, budgeting, and staff development. This role serves as a key resource for physicians, clinicians, and pharmacy staff, providing expertise in oncology therapeutics, pharmacoeconomic, cancer management, and medication safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure regulatory compliance, patient safety, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide clinical expertise and consultation to physicians and healthcare providers on oncology medications and treatment regimens.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance initiatives, and safety programs.
  • Lead drug management and process improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Manage pharmacy budgets, financial reporting, purchasing programs, inventory control, and drug utilization.
  • Establish and oversee medication dispensing, billing, charging, and drug control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Monitor and communicate updates regarding drug regulations, shortages, recalls, and industry developments.
  • Hire, develop, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  • Lead staff training, competency programs, and professional development initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis related to oncology therapies, disease management, pharmacoeconomics, and outcomes.
  • Support organizational goals through collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy, PharmD Preferred
  • Current Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting with IV admixture experience.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations, compliance requirements, and operational management.

Preferred
  • Oncology pharmacy experience.
  • PharmD Preferred
  • Prior pharmacy management experience in a specialty or ambulatory care setting.
  • Experience with pharmacoeconomic analysis, disease management programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

This position requires extended periods of sitting and standing, manual dexterity, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Team members may be exposed to patients, pharmaceutical products, medicinal preparations, and chemotherapeutic agents while performing job duties.
