Job Summary:The Retail Pharmacy Manager oversees all activity and operations of the retail pharmacy, ensuring all laws and regulations related to retail pharmacy are abided by. This role ensures the effective and safe delivery of pharmaceutical care while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. The Retail Manager requires strong leadership abilities, clinical expertise, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes and community health.
Retail Pharmacy Manager Qualifications:- High School diploma or equivalent required. Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
- Graduate from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
- Licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
- This is a safety sensitive position.**
- 3 years retail pharmacy experience as a pharmacist required
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy regulations.
- Basic understanding of 340b prescriptions and qualifications required.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosage requirements, and side effects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and reviewing prescriptions.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and other technology used for dispensing and managing medication records required.
- 5 or more years as a retail pharmacy manager or pharmacist in charge preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting with 340b medications preferred.
