Full Job Description
Position: Pharmacist - Full-Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

This position supports clinical pharmacy services and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with sterile compounding expertise supporting infusion pharmacy patients or the willingness/ability to learn these techniques is a plus.

Duties include:
  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders.
  • Review medication profiles for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substances, and pharmacy operations.
  • Support development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Adhere to regulatory and company compliance, including OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and Clinical Solutions Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations by utilizing appropriate PPE at all times while performing job duties and working in designated areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Sterile Componding duties include (as applicable):
  • Perform and oversee sterile compounding in compliance with USP and USP .
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
  • Maintain cleanroom, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring standards.
  • Maintain compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
  • Principles, practices, standards, and terminology related to the practice of pharmacy.
  • Drug properties, usage, and the effects of drug interactions.
  • Adherence to pharmacy policies, methods, specifications, and procedures.
  • Support staff training and development.
  • Evaluation of drug therapy against established criteria.
  • Support development of program policy manuals, rules, and program monitoring methodologies, techniques, and plans.
  • Support development and maintenance of a perpetual inventory control system.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and focus for prolonged periods while performing tasks requiring a high degree of accuracy in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ongoing evaluation of pharmacy methods, procedures, and services.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Sterile compounding and dispensing pharmaceutical drugs, medications, and supplies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum one (1) year of pharmacist experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.


Preferred Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding in compliance with USP , USP , DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Ability to work in a sterile compounding environment.
  • Home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy management experience preferred.


Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to bend, reach overhead, stoop, lift, stir, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • The employee is required to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift/move objects.
  • Able to reach, carry, finger, grasp and feel objects related to duties.
  • Able to maintain manual dexterity sufficient to manually manipulate syringes, vials, needles, IV bags, and other compounding materials.
  • Able to consistently wear and properly maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
