Position SummaryNewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Behavioral Health Services team. As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medications for patients receiving psychiatric and behavioral health care.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify medication orders, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances, for safety, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness.
- Monitor medication therapy for effectiveness, drug interactions, adverse effects, contraindications, and dosing concerns.
- Prepare and dispense medications, including controlled substances.
- Collaborate with the behavioral health team to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes on rounds.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on medication use, adherence, and safety.
- Support medication safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and controlled substance management.
- Serve as a drug information resource and assist with training pharmacy interns, students, technicians, and new pharmacists.
Required:- Current New York State Pharmacist License
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
Preferred- One year of postgraduate pharmacy practice experience or NYP internship experience
- Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health settings

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range:$83.85-$101.02/Hourly
