Job Summary: The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking
PET/CT Manager to provide operational and administrative leadership for PET/CT imaging services. This position plays a critical role in advancing UW Radiology's missions of clinical excellence, education, research, and innovation by overseeing the delivery of high-quality PET/CT imaging services across a dynamic academic health system.
The PET/CT Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of PET/CT services, ensuring safe, efficient, patient-centered care while supporting the department's strategic goals and growth initiatives. This role provides leadership for a team of technologists and support staff, including responsibility for personnel management, workforce planning, performance development, training, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The manager will work closely with physicians, scientists, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to optimize workflows, implement best practices, and ensure exceptional service delivery. In partnership with the MRI Research Program Manager, the PET/CT Manager will also provide operational oversight and strategic support for the department's PET/MR imaging program, helping coordinate clinical and research activities across this highly specialized hybrid imaging modality.
In addition to overseeing clinical operations, the PET/CT Manager supports the department's robust research enterprise by facilitating the integration of clinical and research imaging activities, developing and implementing operational processes and protocols, and serving as a key liaison among faculty, investigators, staff, and external partners. The position is responsible for monitoring operational performance, managing resources and budgets, supporting regulatory and accreditation compliance, overseeing quality and safety initiatives, and contributing to the evaluation and implementation of emerging PET/CT technologies and programs. The manager also serves as a subject matter expert and departmental representative, helping promote the accomplishments and advancements of UW Radiology's imaging programs and research initiatives.

- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- Typical work hours for this position are Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility as needed to support operational requirements, staff oversight, and departmental initiatives. Specific scheduling expectations will be discussed during the hiring process.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every two years.

Compensation: The starting salary for the position is $99,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications: - Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N).
- At least one year of experience leading, supervising, coordinating, and/or managing healthcare operations, programs, projects, and/or staff.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, departments, or teams.
Preferred Qualifications: - Two or more years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience in healthcare.
- Experience in PET/CT, PET/MR, nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, radiology, or related imaging services.
- Experience supporting research imaging or clinical research operations in an academic medical center or healthcare setting.
- Experience managing staff, operational workflows, budgets, and/or multidisciplinary teams.
Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred; focus in healthcare administration, biological sciences, public health, business administration, or a related field.
