The Perioperative Flex Team (PFT) is a highly skilled, solutions-oriented group of nurses who provide care across multiple phases of the surgical journey. PFT nurses are intentionally trained across perioperative environments, allowing them to bring clinical expertise, resourcefulness, and efficiency wherever patient care needs are greatest. Nurses will take assignments in various areas within the perioperative service, which include the Strong Surgical Center (SSC), 23HR unit and PACU (post anesthesia care unit). Ideal candidates are adaptable, motivated nurses who demonstrate strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. PFT nurses must be comfortable working independently while remaining highly collaborative and responsive to changing perioperative needs. Will require strong assessment, critical thinking and organizational skills. A willingness to work in varied settings and flexibility to changing needs of the assignment within a shift are essential. Explore a team that is highly supported with the potential to expand your skill set while pursuing career advancement. Requires two years of acute care nursing, critical care and/or perioperative experience strongly preferred. ACLS/PALS required within one year.
