The Department of Neurosurgery and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital seek a fellowship trained, board eligible or board certified neurosurgeon with a primary focus in pediatric neurosurgery. This position is designed for a surgeon-scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to elevate and expand the institution's pediatric neurosurgery clinical and research programs.

The ideal candidate will work effectively in multidisciplinary collaborative programs, demonstrate surgical technical excellence, and develop research programs related to their area of clinical practice. The applicants will have distinct experience or training in pediatric neurosurgery. The successful applicant will be expected to enhance the existing programs in pediatric neurosurgery, bring a significant research program to the Department, and participate in resident education. Full-time appointment on the clinical scholar track, level of appointment and compensation are dependent on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

Practice sites for this position include the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital, the University of Minnesota Medical Center, its Ambulatory Surgical Center, and outreach sites in the Minnesota Health system.

Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $ $607,000 - $764,000 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
