PCB Design Engineer at RemoteAs an
Info Security Sys Engineer, you will be responsible for: - Place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design.
- Ensure that all requirements for manufacturing and assembly are met.
- Develop and generate drawings and documentation to facilitate PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Rework PCB designs when engineering design changes occur and assist the design team with ideas to resolve issues.
- Perform drawing and documentation updates per the instructions of engineering change requests.
- Create component ECAD library footprints and/or schematic symbols as required for design projects.
This is a
12 Month full-time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or graduate Degree and a minimum 2 years of prior related experience In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Multiple years of experience in PCB design or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design.
Preferred Additional Skills: - Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment. Specific experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition software is desired.
- Competent experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, PCB fabrication and assembly drawings is desired.
- Practical knowledge of industry standards, such as IPC for design (including design for manufacturability) and ASME/ANSI for documentation, is desired. Specific relevant IPC standards include IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610.
- IT experience to help with backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM.
Pay Range: $50-54/hr.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
