Support Center



As a Payroll Manager, you will:
• Oversee end-to-end processing of bi-weekly payroll for 6,500+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and various state regulations.
• Supervise, train, and develop payroll staff, managing workload distribution, performance, and professional growth.
• Serve as the primary payroll liaison between Workday (payroll/ERP) and UKG (timekeeping and scheduling), ensuring data integrity and smooth interfacing between the two systems.
• Coordinate with ADP to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, payments, and compliance reporting at the federal and state levels.
• Review and approve off-cycle payments, adjustments, and manual checks prior to processing.
• Research and resolve escalated payroll discrepancies, including tax withholding questions, retroactive pay, garnishments, and other voluntary deductions.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Compensation, and UKG Support teams to ensure changes to employee data (new hires, terminations, transfers, leaves) are reflected accurately and on schedule for payroll.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls and standard operating procedures for the payroll function, including segregation of duties and audit readiness.
• Support system releases and testing related to Workday and UKG payroll and timekeeping functionality; identify and help implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws (including FLSA), multi-state tax requirements, and healthcare-industry-specific pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, PTO, on-call pay).
• Respond to payroll audits (internal and external) and provide documentation and analysis as needed.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Hands-on experience processing payroll in Workday.
• Experience with timekeeping/scheduling systems such as UKG (Kronos/UKG Dimensions) and integrating time data into payroll.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax compliance and experience coordinating with a third-party tax service provider such as ADP.
• Strong understanding of federal and multi-state payroll tax regulations and wage and hour law (FLSA).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to employees at all levels.
Preferred:
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
• Prior payroll experience in a healthcare or other complex, multi-site organization.
• Experience supporting Workday releases, testing, or configuration related to payroll.

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Full-time
Hours per Week: 40 hours/week
Typical Daily Schedule: 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday 
Shift Type: Day Shift-Hybrid Schedule
Holiday Requirements: Follow the company holiday calendar

Pay Range:

$89,356.80 - $134,035.20
