The Role:We're looking for a hybrid accounting/systems/AI professional to serve as the technical backbone of our finance and accounting technology stack. This person will lead the design and deployment of AI agents to automate accounting and finance workflows, and act as the primary liaison between accounting/finance and our internal engineering teams on home-grown tooling. While housed in accounting, this is a shared resource supporting our Finance organization on systems and automation initiatives.
What You'll Do- Lead Accounting transformation through systems and automation
- Own project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and executive-level status reporting across multiple initiatives.
- Optimize NetSuite (GL, subledgers, workflows, saved searches, SuiteScript customizations) and Salesforce (quote-to-cash, CPQ integration points relevant to revenue/billing), and internally developed systems.
- Identify, design, and deploy AI agents/LLM-based tools to automate manual accounting processes (reconciliations, close tasks, variance analysis, journal entry prep, reporting)
- Partner with engineering on home-grown internal tools used by accounting/finance, translating business requirements into technical specs
- Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite, our proprietary systems, and other internal tools and systems
- Support Finance Department with systems/reporting needs (dashboards, data pipelines, ad hoc automation)
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Accounting, Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Solution Architecture, Internal Controls, and implementation partners.
- Evaluate and pilot new AI/automation vendor tools; build the business case for adoption
- Document processes and maintain system controls in coordination with SOX/audit requirements
- Train accounting/finance staff on new tools and workflows
What We're Looking For- 7-10 years combined experience in accounting/finance operations and systems administration, including leading implementations, transformation initiatives, or enterprise systems projects
- Demonstrated experience taking ownership of projects from planning through execution, testing/UAT, training, and go-live.
- Demonstrated experience building or deploying AI/LLM-based automation (agents, workflow automation, RPA, or similar) - not just "AI-curious," actual hands-on build experience
- Strong understanding of accounting processes (close, reconciliations, revenue) sufficient to identify automation opportunities
- Comfort working directly with engineers on technical requirements/integrations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or Computer Science
What Will Set You Apart- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Background in high-growth tech or manufacturing environment
- Scripting ability (Python, SuiteScript, or similar) for light automation/integration work
- Active CPA
CompensationFor this role, the target salary range is $
250,000 - $300,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
