The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), is seeking an academic pathologist trained in
Transfusion Medicine to join its expanding faculty.
The individual selected will provide expert diagnostic and consultative services to Indiana University Health (IU Health) which includes Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, IU Health West, IU Health North, IU Health Arnett, and a number of smaller hospitals. Board certification in CP or AP/CP, as well as board certification or eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine are required. The academic rank is determined by qualifications and level of experience.
Responsibilities: • Provide transfusion medicine and apheresis service
• Participate in coagulation consultation service
• Actively participate in educational activities including ACGME-accredited trainees

The lab processes over 100,000 cases per year, and houses an electron microscopy laboratory, eight full-time certified pathologists' assistants, twenty residents and eleven different fellowships.
