Step into a Partner opportunity where you will help shape and lead the future of a growing Corporate Restructuring practice in British Columbia. You will play an important role in the next stage of leadership, supported by a nationally recognized team and Advisory Practice.

You bring experience as a Corporate Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) with a strong market focus and proven leadership. This role is designed for you. As the practice expands across British Columbia, your entrepreneurial mindset will drive growth, strengthen market presence, and open new opportunities.

You will work alongside senior professionals who are recognized across Canada for their technical expertise, commercial insight, and leadership. As a Partner, you will have access to a national network of specialists. You will draw on shared knowledge, resources, and relationships to deliver meaningful results for clients.

As a Partner with Doane Grant Thornton, you will play a defining role in shaping how the practice grows and operates in British Columbia. Your leadership will directly influence client outcomes, team success, and the strength of the firm's presence in the market.
• Champion the growth, management and development of the Restructuring practice in the region that complements, and is supported by, the firm's overall strategy for growth
• Lead and grow the Corporate Restructuring practice across British Columbia, expanding your market presence, building a strong portfolio of client relationships, and working closely with senior leadership to originate and win new business opportunities
• Be the trusted advisor clients turn to in their most critical moments, guiding boards, lenders, and business leaders through complex restructuring and turnaround situations
• Own and lead complex mandates end-to-end, delivering high-quality outcomes with confidence, strong commercial judgement, and trusted leadership
• Build and shape a high-performing team around you, mentoring talent and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed
• Expand your influence in the market, strengthening relationships with lenders, lawyers, investors, and other key stakeholders across the region
• Play a defining role in shaping the future of the practice, identifying opportunities and driving the growth strategy in British Columbia

Key Requirements

Education
• Completion of a Bachelor's or advanced level degree (Masters) and professional accounting designation (CPA)
• Completion of a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) Qualification Program and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.

Experience and Attributes
• 10+ years of advisory experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex restructuring and insolvency proceedings
• Insolvency Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge of all insolvency proceedings.
• Financial Acumen: Understands key performance indicators and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in File Acquisition/File Administration and File Closure
• Demonstrated experience growing a practice and business development which focuses on development of relationships and actively anticipating client and market needs
• Nurture alumni connections: Strengthen your professional network by maintaining relationships with alumni.
• Actively participate in professional, industry or community organization events
• Expand brand reach: Develop connections with bankers, lawyers, trustees, credit counsellors, and other potential referral sources to promote firm
• Ethical Compliance: Uphold the firm's ethical standards and code of conduct for Trustees.
• Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to be an active participant in the development of the team and the broader Advisory practice
• Develop solutions with clients and co-workers through collaborative effort and discussion
• Commitment to quality, excellence, and continual professional growth for yourself and for those you lead
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills, to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues at all levels and influence decision-makers
