Position Summary

The Product Manager leads the success of parking technology products by defining the strategy, roadmap, and feature direction. They analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to develop a differentiated product vision aligned with customer needs. This role requires a cross functional leader who collaborates effectively with technology, marketing, operations, and support teams. Ultimately, the Senior Product Manager owns the full product lifecycle-from concept through launch and ongoing optimization-ensuring clarity on the why, when, and what of product development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Market Research
  • Identify customer needs through market research, customer feedback, and operational insights
  • Evaluate and refine product opportunities by reviewing specifications, assessing new ideas, and analyzing market demand
  • Assess the competitive landscape by comparing company products, vendor capabilities, and industry offerings
  • Define product marketing objectives and provide data to support messaging and positioning
  • Develop clear documentation, industry insights, and training materials for internal teams


Industry Expertise & Insights
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on parking technology, industry trends, and emerging vendors
  • Maintain industry knowledge through ongoing education, networking, and participation in relevant associations


Product Development & Launch
  • Lead new product introductions by validating requirements, analyzing ROI, and coordinating development timelines
  • Build and execute integrated launch plans in collaboration with operations, marketing, technology, and vendor partners


Customer Focus & Execution
  • Oversee key operational tasks, including scheduling, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring follow-through
  • Support cross-functional initiatives aligned with broader organizational goals
  • Demonstrate a service-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, on-time products and solutions


Agile & Product Methodology
  • Apply Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to manage the product lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery
  • Partner with engineering and QA teams within an Agile structure to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery
  • Define and track key product metrics and OKRs; use data to drive prioritization decisions and communicate progress to stakeholders


Tools & Technology
  • Proficiency with product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms for backlog management, sprint tracking, and documentation
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, or equivalent) to monitor product performance and inform decisions
  • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and the ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI teams on product interfaces and user experience


AI & Emerging Technology
  • Actively evaluate and apply AI-powered tools to enhance product workflows, including automated reporting, predictive analytics, customer insight generation, and operational efficiency
  • Stay current on AI and automation trends within the parking and mobility technology sectors, identifying opportunities to integrate emerging capabilities into the product roadmap
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., for market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback synthesis) to accelerate decision-making and improve product quality


Additional Responsibilities

Other tasks may be assigned as needed to support the company's overall operational objectives, with the expectation that the management remains flexible and responsive to evolving business needs. Attend required staff meetings and complete assigned training modules in a timely manner. Including but not limited to the ability to work flexible hours when needed, and occasional travel may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with knowledge of product management principles
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or similar role, with a strong customer focus and a proven track record of defining, launching, and managing products
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, with strong attention to detail and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in a technical or product leadership role, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences


Physical Demands
