Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a Pain Physical Therapist / Chronic Pain Clinical Specialist to primarily support the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus and Brooklyn VA Medical Center located at 423 E. 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 and 800 Poy Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments for chronic pain patients.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Treat patients with:
    • Chronic pain conditions
    • Musculoskeletal disorders
    • Neurologic conditions
    • Cardiopulmonary conditions
    • Geriatric conditions
    • Wound/lymphedema conditions
  • Provide:
    • Therapeutic exercise
    • Neuromuscular re-education
    • Gait training
    • Functional activity training
    • Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE)
    • Graded exposure therapy
    • Adaptive equipment evaluations
    • Wheelchair seating and positioning assessments
    • Aquatic therapy
    • Telehealth-based physical therapy services
  • Spend at least 50% of clinical time providing group-based Pain Management services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary pain management teams.
  • Educate patients and caregivers.
  • Maintain treatment documentation within CPRS/VistA and VA Video Connect systems
  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, rounds, clinics, and committee activities.
  • Assist with departmental operations and equipment management.
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • Current, full, and unrestricted professional license in any U.S. state, territory, or Washington, D.C.
  • No history of restricted, suspended, revoked, or denied licensure.
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Active AHA BLS Certification
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • 2,000+ hours of direct chronic pain physical therapy practice within the previous 2 to 5 years; OR
    • Board Certification recognized by ABPTS; OR
    • Completion of a related fellowship program; OR
    • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital, ambulatory care, or equivalent chronic pain management experience.
  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
