We are looking for a Packaging Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Oura's packaging experiences. Packaging is often the first physical touchpoint with our customers, and this role is critical in ensuring that our packaging reflects our brand values, protects our products, and delivers a world-class unboxing experience. The Packaging Product Manager will work across global, cross-functional teams to design and deliver sustainable, high-quality, and cost-effective packaging solutions.
What You Will Do:Packaging Ownership
- Own Oura's packaging roadmap, aligning with product launches, global and retail expansion, and partnerships
- Lead packaging projects through all phases: research, design, prototyping, testing, validation/approvals, production, and scaling
- Work closely with hardware, operations, marketing, creative, and design teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution
- Oversee in-box content, such as quick-start guides and compliance sheet
Requirements Management
- Write and manage packaging requirements (PRDs) and/or briefs, track progress, and facilitate decision-making across teams
- Coordinate closely with other product managers and product marketing managers to ensure overall requirements and vision alignment are represented in packaging
- Identify and resolve packaging-related tradeoffs
- Customer & Brand Experience
- Ensure packaging delivers a premium, thoughtful, and on-brand unboxing experience that delights customers
- Champion environmentally responsible materials and processes, supporting Oura's commitment to sustainability
Market & User Insights
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and get customer feedback analysis to inform packaging decisions
- Use data-driven insights and user studies to continuously improve packaging performance and experience
- Communication & Collaboration
- Partner with design, operations, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align priorities and tradeoffs
- Effectively communicate packaging strategy, plans, progress, and challenges to stakeholders across the organization
- Manage and implement cross-functional and executive leadership feedback. Ensure all projects receive proper signoff and approvals
This is an in-office role in our San Francisco office.
Requirements:We Would Love to Consider You for this Role if You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in product management
- Experience with packaging development from concept to production
- Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain considerations
- Knowledge of packaging standards, testing certifications and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences and using technology to help people live healthier lives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive projects to completion
Nice to have:- Experience in consumer electronics, wearables, or premium consumer goods
- Experience working with global teams and suppliers
- Strong track record of balancing brand, sustainability, cost, and operational constraints

Ōura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
