Full Job Description
  • Base salary: $75,000 - $115,000 annually
  • Uncapped commission structure: Your earnings grow with your performance-there is no ceiling!
  • On-target earnings (OTE): $75,000-$145,000 in your first year, with significant growth potential beyond Year 1
  • Sign-on Bonus $5,000-$10,000
  • Bonus incentives up to an additional $20,000

Required Education and Experience
  • Two Year Technical Degree or an equivalent of industry experience in life safety and/or electronic security systems required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and build a book of business using appropriate prospecting strategies with mostly Electrical Contractors
  • Actively pursue fire alarm system, Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems (ARCS) sales from potential Clients in the small commercial and residential construction industry to meet sales targets.
  • Actively pursue diverse revenue channels from existing Client base and develop new territories.
  • Build trust and rapport with existing and potential Clients.
  • Identify, qualify and assess Client needs to determine suitable products and services.
  • Prepare quote packages and collaterals to provide integrated solutions to help organizations manage their life safety and ARCS needs.
  • Develop, and implement sales strategies; negotiate and close profitable projects.
  • Monitor Client communication and promptly responding to calls and emails.
  • Collaborate with a variety of different departments, such as the Accounting, Service and Project Operations departments and/or other stakeholders to better serve the Clients' needs.
  • Prepare bi-weekly sales activity report, semi-annual and annual goal plans.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of High Rise Fire (HRF) organizational structure and all department functionalities and workflow
  • Good knowledge of EST fire alarm and ARCS systems products, operation, and functionality
  • Good knowledge of the commercial and residential industry sector
  • Ability to read and interpret life safety systems blueprints and schematics, sequence of operation, job specifications
  • Good knowledge of value engineering projects
  • Good understanding and application of NYC Building codes and NFPA fire alarm codes
  • Ability to prospect, assess needs, articulate the HRF value proposition and solutions, negotiate and persuade
  • Functional proficiency in computer office applications including System Manager, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure while preparing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
