Job Description

The Oracle Cloud Technical Lead is responsible for the technical architecture, integration, extension, reporting, data management, security, governance, optimization, and production support of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications. This role serves as the primary technical authority for the Oracle Cloud platform and partners with functional application leads, business stakeholders, Information Technology teams, enterprise architects, cybersecurity, data and analytics teams, and external service providers to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions across Oracle Financials, Project Portfolio Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, and Enterprise Performance Management.

The Technical Lead provides hands-on leadership for Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, REST and SOAP web services, file-based data imports, bulk data extraction, reporting, extensions, workflow, data conversion, application security, environment management, and technical release readiness. The role establishes development and integration standards, guides technical design decisions, reviews solution quality, and ensures that technical components align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, audit, performance, availability, and supportability requirements.

A successful candidate will have strong experience designing and supporting integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud and cloud, on-premises, and third-party applications. The candidate must be able to translate functional requirements into effective technical designs, lead delivery across internal and external technical teams, troubleshoot complex cross-system issues, and maintain reliable technical operations in an enterprise software-as-a-service environment.

This is a hybrid position that will require a combination of on-site work in our Jacksonville, FL headquarters and remote work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for Oracle Fusion Cloud architecture, integrations, extensions, reporting, data conversion, security, and technical operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Oracle Cloud technical landscape, including application environments, system interfaces, data flows, dependencies, scheduled processes, technical configurations, and upstream and downstream systems.
  • Lead technical solution design for enhancements, break-fixes, integrations, reports, conversions, extensions, automations, and cross-application capabilities.
  • Translate functional and business requirements into scalable technical designs, interface specifications, data mappings, security models, error-handling approaches, monitoring requirements, and support procedures.
  • Design, build, review, and support integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Fusion Cloud adapters, REST services, SOAP services, secure file transfer, business events, file-based data import, spreadsheet loaders, Human Capital Management Data Loader, bulk data extraction, database adapters, and other approved integration patterns.
  • Select appropriate real-time, near-real-time, event-driven, and batch integration patterns based on business criticality, transaction volume, latency, data integrity, performance, resilience, and supportability requirements.
  • Lead reporting and analytics development using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, BI Publisher, data models, dashboards, analyses, agents, extracts, and other approved reporting technologies.
  • Lead the design and support of Oracle Cloud extensions and user experiences using Oracle Visual Builder, Visual Builder Studio, application composer capabilities, page composer capabilities, extensibility frameworks, and other approved platform services.
  • Provide technical leadership for data conversion, data migration, mass updates, reconciliation, archival, and validation activities associated with implementations, acquisitions, enhancements, and operational support.
  • Define and enforce technical standards for naming, design, coding, configuration, version control, documentation, deployment, logging, exception handling, monitoring, performance, recoverability, and production support.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, integration reviews, security reviews, and deployment-readiness assessments to ensure that solutions meet quality and governance standards.
  • Partner with functional leads to evaluate cross-module and cross-system impacts across Financials, Project Portfolio Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Performance Management, reporting, security, and external applications.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity, and data teams to ensure solutions comply with architectural standards, authentication requirements, encryption requirements, network controls, data protection requirements, and audit expectations.
  • Support Oracle Cloud application security by partnering on role design, data access, service accounts, integration accounts, credentials, certificates, OAuth configurations, segregation of duties, and access-related troubleshooting.
  • Lead technical testing for system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, security testing, disaster recovery validation, quarterly updates, enhancements, and production fixes.
  • Establish test strategies for integrations, reports, conversions, extensions, and interfaces; ensure that positive, negative, exception, reconciliation, volume, and recovery scenarios are validated.
  • Lead technical impact assessments and readiness activities for Oracle Cloud quarterly updates, including feature review, regression analysis, environment coordination, technical testing, defect resolution, deployment planning, and production validation.
  • Lead resolution of high-priority technical incidents by coordinating triage, analyzing logs and payloads, reproducing failures, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and communicating status and risk.
  • Coordinate with Oracle Support through My Oracle Support service requests and work with Application Managed Services partners, implementation partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, reconciliation, and operational-support practices for integrations, reports, scheduled processes, interfaces, service accounts, certificates, and technical dependencies.
  • Manage the technical delivery backlog by evaluating complexity, dependencies, risk, architecture, security, effort, and support impacts; assist with prioritization and release planning.
  • Lead deployment and release-management activities across development, test, and production environments, including migration planning, configuration promotion, version control, validation, rollback planning, and post-production verification.
  • Provide technical oversight of Application Managed Services deliverables, including estimates, designs, code, documentation, testing evidence, deployment packages, incident resolution, and service-level performance.
  • Maintain technical architecture diagrams, interface inventories, data-flow diagrams, integration specifications, report catalogs, security documentation, runbooks, support procedures, release records, and knowledge articles.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the technical landscape, reduce customizations, retire redundant interfaces, improve performance, strengthen monitoring, automate repeatable activities, and lower support risk.
  • Mentor technical analysts, developers, integration specialists, reporting developers, and vendor resources; promote knowledge transfer, consistent engineering practices, and continuous improvement.
