Ideal Eye, a multi-location practice, is seeking a Texas-licensed Floater Optometrist to support growing practices across Central Texas, including North San Antonio, Lockhart, Buda, and Kyle. This opportunity is a strong fit for an experienced optometrist or recent graduate who enjoys variety, collaboration, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across different patient communities while providing personalized, high-quality eye care.

What you'll do:

You'll partner with a dedicated team of 20 eye care professionals to help patients achieve their best vision, caring for up to 22 patients each day. In this role, you'll perform comprehensive eye exams, support surgical co-management, diagnose and help treat ocular disease, prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, respond to eye emergencies, and educate patients on healthy vision using advanced diagnostic technology. This opportunity offers up to 40 hours per week based on location needs, with weekday shifts typically scheduled Monday through Friday for eight hours per day and Saturday shifts generally scheduled for six hours. Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
