The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty.

This is a full-time Research Assoc. Professor position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Advance the research and educational missions of the Miller School of Medicine by enhancing the Institute's activities dedicated to ophthalmic research.
  • Provide leadership for research collaboration focused on AI Research.
  • Collaborate with various Departments across the University to foster interdisciplinary research and leverage resources and expertise
  • Contribute to the excellence of MSOM's clinical partner, UHealth, with cutting edge clinical translational research that will improve patient care and expand health services.
  • Contribute to the curriculum for medical students and other graduate programs
  • Successfully recruit, mentor and retain faculty, researchers, and students to work in the field of ophthalmology.
  • Create a sustainable environment through research funding and philanthropy for the continued growth and success of the Department of Ophthalmology.
