Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not intended to be an all inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Monitors and directs work activities within areas of responsibility, ensuring work is performed in a safe and efficient manner and that areas of responsibility are maintained in a neat and orderly condition. Ensures compliance with company plant and safety rules.
  • Plans operations, establishes priorities and sequences for shift activities. Coordinates production activities with other departments and personnel as necessary to maximize operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner, within budget and according to customer needs.
  • Champions and Leads their Team in the SunCoke Visible Safety Program including Safety Improvement Plans, 5S, Field Safety Hazard Identification, & Safety Observations.
  • Participate in Safety incident investigations as required, including reporting incidents to appropriate personnel, completing required documentation, recommending and implementing corrective actions, and communicating findings as appropriate.
  • Maintains compliance with appropriate federal, State and local safety and/or environmental regulations, reports and notifies appropriate plant personnel of any deviations per established standards; maintains appropriate records and reports as required by regulations.
  • Trains and coaches Team Members in Standard Operating Procedure development, Job Safety Analyses, safe work practices, and hazard recognition. Coaches and encourages professional development and growth of skills and abilities.
  • Works effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization within areas of responsibility, consulting with HR, Department Manager, corporate resources or other parties as necessary
  • Participates in shift change activities including but not limited to communicating problems, issues, etc. with appropriate personnel, keeping supervisor apprised of such, completing appropriate documentation, logs, etc.; maintaining responsibility for operating area until properly relieved of duty by shift personnel or other authorized personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Base pay $76,200 - $95,300 based on experience.

Annual performance bonus target 10%
