This hands-on role plays a critical part in the operational execution, leadership, and daily workflow of a state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution centre. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational background across fast-paced warehouse or production environments, sharp analytical capabilities, and a commitment to visible, floor-level team leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing multi-shift operations, coaching frontline supervisors, driving Lean process improvements, and spearheading the operational launch of a brand-new e-commerce fulfillment channel to ensure peak service, quality, and safety performance. Position: Operations Manager, Manufacturing & Distribution Location: Delta, BC Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Position Salary: $100,000 - $125,000/year (commensurate with experience) Schedule & Shift: Monday-Friday 40 hours/week (shift availability between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM; occasional weekend coverage) Eligibility: Minimum 5 years of relevant leadership experience managing fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations (minimum 20+ headcount) You can successfully clear a criminal record check and provide 2 professional supervisor references While all applications are appreciated, only qualified candidates currently residing in British Columbia will be considered and contacted. Advantages Competitive salary range ($100,000-$125,000/year based on experience) plus annual performance bonus potential Comprehensive Health & Benefits Package (Extended Health, Medical & Dental Coverage) Balanced Monday-to-Friday schedule offering strong work-life stability Key leadership involvement in launching a brand-new e-commerce startup initiative directly out of the Delta facility Strategic career progression and long-term stability within an expanding global healthcare supply chain leader Collaborative, safety-first environment with visible oversight reporting directly to the Head of Logistics Responsibilities Provide visible, hands-on leadership across daily warehouse, assembly/manufacturing, and distribution operations to achieve productivity, service, and safety targets Lead, coach, and mentor 2 direct frontline team leads and 30+ indirect operational associates, conducting regular 1-on-1s and performance evaluations Conduct regular operational floor walks to monitor workflow execution, resolve bottlenecks, and enforce strict WorkSafeBC health and safety standards Oversee end-to-end receiving, product staging, order fulfillment, and shipping priorities to maintain high stock accuracy and on-time delivery Collaborate cross-functionally with Demand Planning, QA, Maintenance, and Procurement to manage workload fluctuations and material readiness Execute formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on operational discrepancies and implement sustainable corrective action plans Track, analyze, and report on key warehouse performance metrics (labor efficiency, picking accuracy, throughput, and storage density) using WMS platforms and MS Excel Drive Lean Management and 5S continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, streamline dispatch, and control departmental labor budgets Oversee facility equipment availability, safe material-handling operations (including high-capacity forklifts), and operational risk management Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience leading multi-shift warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing teams (managing 20+ associates) Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas, data analysis, and labor/KPI reporting) Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP/CRM platforms, and inventory tracking tools Strong understanding of provincial WorkSafeBC Health & Safety legislation, risk mitigation, and formal accident investigation procedures Proven analytical mindset with expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and operational problem-solving Demonstrated background in labor planning, budget management, capacity planning, and third-party freight/carrier coordination Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities Knowledge or certification in Lean Management, 5S, or Kaizen process optimization techniques is preferred Post-secondary education or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field is an asset Summary If you have the skills and qualifications detailed above, we would love to connect further.
