Overview:Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga
Responsibilities:Assists the Director of Pharmacy in ensuring that the pharmacy provides superior services, exceeds all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and follows all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the hospital for the storage and preparation of pharmaceuticals. Ensures that patient care remains uninterrupted, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Responsible for the management of pharmacy staff, including scheduling, performance evaluation, and improvement. Oversees and monitors all daily unit dose operations and all daily IV room and OR/ICU Satellite activities. Performs all duties of a Staff Pharmacist as needed.
Qualifications:Education- Graduate of an accredited an ACPE school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy Required
Work Experience- 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience Required
- Previous experience and/or training in the general use of pharmacy computer systems Required
- Management experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications- PHARM-R - Registered Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in State of Georgia. Upon Hire Required
