Full Job Description
Eaton's IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Operations Manager. This role is based in Orchard Park, NY.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The Operations Manager will achieve team operational performance metrics targets including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity ; drive continuous improvement through root cause problem solving methods; build People to Get Results - develop bench strength within the Integrated Product Team (IPT); assist the development and execution of the Sales Inventory and Operations Plans (SIOP) focusing on capacity and material planning, with a proactive approach to mitigate risk to the forecast and budget plans.

Job Responsibilities
• Lead, develop, and execute plans for Operations in SIOP process.
• Serve as Continuous Improvement Champion, leading cross functional groups towards the future state to include: productivity improvements, waste elimination, variation reduction, team strategy deployment, teaming, and recognition.
• Lead daily plan execution, including prioritization for Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Material Planners, and Quality Engineers supporting the Integrated Product Team (IPT); as well as supporting site wide initiatives in Supply Chain and Quality.
• Ensure all operational processes are carried out in accordance with safety, quality and environmental systems and procedures.
• Plays an active role in developing the weekly/monthly production schedules to support SIOP plan.
• Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
• Achieve agreed upon Integrated Product Team (IPT goals for KPI's (Key Process Indicators) which include safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and responsiveness.
• Utilize lean and Six Sigma concepts within the Value Stream for Root cause problem solving and improvement opportunities.
• Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reviews of key metrics and actions to improve.
• Coaching and Mentoring of Direct Reports; Performance Review updates
• Ability to lead a team toward a common vision and goal
• Develop talent within the team.
• Support customer requirements as needed. Customer focused mentality.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of experience supporting manufacturing production goals and operations planning.and a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with direct reports, within a manufacturing environment

OR
• Equivalent Military Experience in lieu of Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing production goals and operations planning and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with direct reports, within a manufacturing environment.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in operations management or equivalent leadership role.
• Possess a working knowledge of business finance and ability to link financial outcomes with operational actions and strategy
• Manufacturing experience in Aerospace and/or Defense industry
• Ability to think strategically and develop operational plans.
• Thorough working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma enterprise.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead and facilitate progressive change and deal effectively with all levels of management.
