Operations Manager to lead production operations in a large, complex manufacturing facility.
This role oversees multiple operations across several buildings and drives performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and service.
What You'll Do- Direct and optimize production operations to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, and service.
- Develop and implement improved processes with a focus on safety, quality, and cost.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 5 Whys, Kaizen and fishbone diagrams.
- Monitor KPIs, anticipate trends, and adjust plans to meet targets.
- Drive strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate improvement planning sessions and ensure measurable outcomes.
- Promote a culture of safety and GMP compliance through servant leadership in a continuous operations facility.
What We're Looking For- Servant leader with experience managing 250+ employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong decision-making skills grounded in data analysis and financial acumen.
- Operational Excellence experience and familiarity with root cause analysis tools.
- SAP experience highly preferred.
- Ability to lead multi-shift or continuous operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications- High school diploma with 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience managing department managers across functional areas.
- Knowledge of planning, budgeting, cost analysis, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management.
Preferred- Experience in plastics processing or packaging industries.
