Position Summary:

The Staff Level leader for Aftermarket Operations is a strategic and dynamic leader responsible for overseeing and enhancing the aftermarket business segment.

Accountable to achieve results identified by the Corporation's WIN Strategy and division/business unit Strategy Deployment goals.

This role requires an individual with a proven track record in operational leadership, with a strong focus on driving efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cross-functional collaboration.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

Provides leadership and strategic management for the division's aftermarket repair station, spares component supply and vendor repair management. Manage a wide scope of multiple/diverse products. May have high volumes on multiple and complex products. Manages directly or indirectly small to larger functional teams within the aftermarket value stream. Has regular interaction with division leadership, SSO leadership, program management, administration, operations, quality, and engineering teams; coordination typically covers multiple sites and may cross divisions or require Joint Venture support. Establish and maintain high level of customer interaction to communicate deliverables, timelines, and concerns. Use commercial acumen to drive business growth and campaigns. Reports to the Site Business Unit Manager.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide visionary leadership to the aftermarket operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible to achieve financial, customer service, repair station, supply chain and inventory demand objectives for Commercial and Military aftermarket business.
  • Profitably grow the business and achieve Business Unit, Division and Corporate goals monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Work with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
  • Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
  • Leads strategy deployment for the operation concentrating on Lean Initiatives and Sales growth. Leads Manufacturing, Applications Engineering, and Sales/Marketing functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
  • Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
  • Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics.
  • Develop a budget plan and manage operation within budget constraints.
  • Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
  • Represents the operation at the Business Unit and Division levels.
  • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
  • Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
  • Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction, and people productivity.
  • Acts as primary focal point for the division aftermarket activities and aligns activities with SSO Global Services Leader. Primary site aftermarket point of contact for SSO coordination with the Business Unti Manager, staff, and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Sales & Marketing, Design Engineering, Sustainment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of aftermarket strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee MRO service performance requirements, contracts, deliverables to include PI&R, product performance, MTBUR.
  • Advocate for the site aftermarket activities and leadership liaison in the review of a comprehensive Military and Commercial Sales and Earnings Plan (Monthly Rolling Outlook, Fiscal Year, 5-Year and 10-Year), Commercial Spares Catalog, RFQ and AFA review and approval.
  • Work with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
  • Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
Qualifications:
  • Four (4) year college degree required, with technical major preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in aftermarket operations, with a proven track record of leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in an FAA repair station is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of operations experience with budgetary and P&L responsibility (e.g. Business Unit Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager).
  • Commercial acumen to drive business growth and campaigns.
  • Thorough working knowledge of principles, industry practices, company products, technology, regulations, and policies related to operations and business for airline, military, or OEM customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees.
  • Proficiency in project management and operational excellence methodologies.

  • Pay Range: $122910 to $215170 annually
