Responsibilities

Peraton is currently hiring a Operations & Maintenance Enterprise Architect to support our Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team in

support of an mission-critical enterprise application used by the federal government, ensuring reliability, security, and continuous modernization of a complex production environment.

 

Location: Washington, DC 

 

Role OverviewIn this role, you will sustain, optimize, and enhance a mature enterprise application. Your focus will be on stability, refactoring, troubleshooting, and implementing minor feature enhancements across Angular front ends and .NET Core microservices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize existing .NET Core microservices and ASP.NET applications for high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade Angular-based Single-Page Applications (SPAs).
  • Manage and tune SQL Server databases, including repairing stored procedures and improving query performance.
  • Analyze legacy application logic to identify and resolve high-priority bugs and production incidents.
  • Apply security patches, performance improvements, and minor feature enhancements based on stakeholder needs.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, etc. (STEM) degree. 
  • 10+ years of hands-on full-stack engineering experience, with emphasis on Operations & Maintenance or legacy system maintenance.
  • Strong back-end expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and reverse engineering/debugging.
  • Experience maintaining and refactoring Angular/TypeScript production codebases.
  • Advanced skills in SQL Server, T-SQL, and performance tuning.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligbility and eligible to obtain a polygraph. 

Preferred, Nice to Have Qualifications: 

  • Experience with ElasticSearch for log monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to maintain and update SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
  • Familiarity with Ext JS for supporting older UI components.

 

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
