Description

Position Summary:

The Operations Lead manages operational readiness and day-to-day production support coordination for the platform. You will help establish 24/7 operational processes, coordinate incident response and service management activities, and ensure the platform is supportable, reliable, and aligned with federal operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead operational readiness planning, service management processes, and 24/7 support coordination

- Coordinate incident, problem, change, release, and escalation activities across operations, DevSecOps, engineering, security, and support teams

- Define and track operational metrics, SLAs, runbooks, dashboards, handoff procedures, and support documentation

- Support production deployment planning, monitoring readiness, rollback planning, and post-release stabilization

- Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and operational risk reduction

- Partner with client stakeholders and program leadership to communicate operational status, incidents, risks, and readiness

- Ensure operational practices align with security, compliance, continuity, and federal reporting requirements

- Use AI-assisted operations tools to support incident analysis, runbook drafting, trend detection, and status reporting

Non-Technical Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Must be willing to work a HYBRID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.

- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.

- Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.

- Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.

- Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.

Required Qualifications:

- 7+ years of IT operations, production support, service delivery, DevSecOps, or infrastructure operations experience

- Experience coordinating incident management, change management, release support, monitoring, and escalation processes

- Experience leading operational readiness for enterprise systems or mission-critical platforms

- Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills

- Familiarity with ITSM tools, dashboards, runbooks, SLAs, and operational reporting

- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

- Federal IT modernization, 24/7 operations, or financial-regulatory production support experience

- ITIL, AWS, DevOps, SRE, or cybersecurity certification

- Experience with AWS monitoring, logging, automation, CI/CD, or cloud operations practices

- Familiarity with AI-assisted incident analysis, operations reporting, knowledge management, or automation tools

Salary Description

$120,000-$140,000 (based on pertinent experience)
