Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Directs activities to support all manufacturing operations equipment availability (uptime), preventative maintenance of equipment, scheduling of technician training, project planning and implementation, scheduling of equipment installation, purchasing of spare parts and supplies for area related needs.
Supports and manages customer test process sustaining effort including incorporation of engineering changes and identifying yield improvements efforts.
Manages activities pertaining to new product test development and implementation into manufacturing.
May manage a group of engineers with the responsibility for the completion of multiple related projects encompassing several different areas (i.e. Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier, etc.).
Tracks the execution of the projects under development.
Assists upper management and business development teams by providing technical input and direction to assist in meeting the project goals or customer requirements.
Ensures that any customer or manufacturing issues related to existing products are addressed with high priority.
Conduct engineering analysis and/or testing of products to validate that products meet customer requirements.

Physical Demands
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
