Position Summary:
Tidal Vision is seeking an OT Systems & Network Engineer to manage the networks, servers, cybersecurity, and connectivity supporting our manufacturing operations. This hands-on role will maintain reliable, secure infrastructure across existing facilities and support new plants and remote installations.
The position works closely with Controls Engineering, Operations, corporate IT, and external providers, with no direct personnel management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial network infrastructure and secure connectivity across manufacturing facilities, corporate systems, and remote installations.
- Deploy and administer OT servers, industrial computers, and networking equipment supporting Ignition, historians, databases, and related services.
- Establish and manage secure access to remote sites for troubleshooting and maintenance, including employee and vendor access controls.
- Implement OT cybersecurity practices, including network segmentation, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response.
- Maintain system reliability through monitoring, coordinated patching, lifecycle planning, and tested backup and recovery procedures.
- Support industrial communications and manufacturing data connectivity, including Allen-Bradley/EtherNet/IP networks, MQTT, and cloud services.
- Establish infrastructure standards and documentation, coordinate vendors and site deployments, and serve as the technical escalation point for OT infrastructure issues.
- Monitor network performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and operational effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, intermittent communications, and network performance issues affecting production systems.
- This role owns manufacturing infrastructure and partners with the controls team, which retains responsibility for PLC programming and SCADA application development.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant networking, systems administration, or OT infrastructure experience, including work in industrial environments.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, networking, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and Windows server administration.
- Experience supporting infrastructure for PLCs, SCADA, and other production-critical systems.
- Understanding of OT segmentation, industrial cybersecurity, secure remote access, and backup and recovery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley control systems and EtherNet/IP networks, Ignition, IXON, EWON, Microsoft Azure, MQTT, OPC-UA, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Travel (10%) and occasional support outside normal business hours are required for site deployments, maintenance, and critical issues.

Work is performed in a remote setting with occasional travel. All safety precautions must be followed at all times while onsite work is performed.
