Job Summary
The OpenText Exstream Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, deployment, and support of document composition and delivery solutions using OpenText Exstream 16.x and above. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of Exstream architecture, forms development, API-based document generation, and end-to-end implementation using accelerators. The lead will collaborate with customer IT and business teams to recommend architectural best practices, manage integrations with core and enterprise applications, and support high-volume document processing across multiple platforms. The position also involves coordinating onsite and offshore teams, maintaining reusable development artifacts and technical documentation, managing deployments across environments, troubleshooting production issues, and driving defect prevention and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in discussions with customer IT and business teams to recommend best practices for architecture, forms development, data management, and integration of OpenText Exstream with core and enterprise applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain forms and document composition solutions using OpenText Exstream.
• Participate in the complete system development lifecycle and support applications used in document processing, printing, and mail operations.
• Work on multiple initiatives within Document Delivery Technology.
• Collaborate with interfacing application teams, project teams, database administrators, developers, and architects across platforms such as Unix, Windows, AIX, and mainframe environments.
• Build and maintain reusable artifacts for processing high-volume data and invoking customer communications management (CCM) tools to compose documents.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings between onsite and offshore teams and manage day-to-day team activities.
• Develop and maintain standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
• Deploy code across multiple environments, from testing through production.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot application, integration, and document processing issues.
• Provide production support and develop applications for the Document Delivery Technology team.
• Support defect triage, investigate technical challenges, and coordinate resolution activities.
• Apply defect prevention processes and track relevant metrics and measurements to improve delivery quality.
• Generate previews and document outputs using OpenText Exstream APIs.
• Support end-to-end implementation projects using accelerators.
Required Qualifications
• Experience with OpenText Exstream 16.x and above.
• Comprehensive understanding of OpenText Exstream architecture.
• Experience generating document previews and outputs using Exstream APIs.
• Experience delivering end-to-end implementation projects using accelerators.
• Experience in forms development and document composition.
• Understanding of metrics, measurements, and defect prevention processes.
• Experience supporting the system development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple platforms and enterprise application environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, team coordination, and documentation skills.
