Role Overview:Pennymac is seeking an Ontology Product Owner to lead the development and adoption of the enterprise semantic layer across its mortgage origination, servicing, data, and AI platforms. This pivotal role involves translating complex business concepts into governed, reusable domain models, ensuring their seamless integration and utilization across various applications, analytics, and advanced AI workflows.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the comprehensive ontology product lifecycle, including vision, roadmap, backlog, release planning, and adoption strategy.
- Define and establish enterprise domain models, entity relationships, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, constraints, and semantic standards.
- Implement robust ontology governance frameworks, stewardship practices, versioning, change control, impact assessment, lineage tracking, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate extensively with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), data engineering, architecture, risk, and compliance teams to accurately map source systems and validate semantic models.
- Translate intricate business requirements into actionable epics, user stories, competency questions, acceptance criteria, and production validation tests.
- Facilitate governed semantic grounding for critical knowledge graphs, advanced analytics, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI agents, ensuring appropriate permissions and auditability.
Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or data product ownership.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering semantic or domain-modeling solutions.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
