Full Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to join a small, highly technical team building general-purpose robots and to own the operational foundation of the company from day one. Reporting to the Founder, you'll manage on-site contractors, own orders and shipments across a wide range of suppliers, run the office day to day (vendors, supplies, deliveries, cleaning, and team lunch), and coordinate real estate communications as the company expands its space. Someone who is calm, driven, and direct, takes full ownership with little guidance, and thrives in an unstructured, build-mode environment where no two days look the same. This is an in-office role, 5 days/week, based in San Francisco's Mission District. 130-160K DOE + full benefits, flexible PTO, and daily lunch.
Responsibilities:
Manage on-site data collection contractors, including office access, daily schedules and breaks, approving hours, and processing payments.
Own parts and equipment orders across many suppliers, tracking ETAs, following up on delays, and resolving shipments held in customs.
Receive and organize deliveries, and track down lost or delayed packages.
Run day-to-day office operations, including stocking kitchen and cleaning supplies, scheduling cleaning, and managing vendors.
Troubleshoot facilities issues such as internet and building concerns, and serve as the main point of contact with the building.
Build and manage a team lunch program.
Coordinate real estate follow-ups with brokers, attorneys, and the landlord as the company expands into additional space.
Support general operations, including setting up processes, keeping paperwork organized, and making sure benefits enrollment and onboarding are handled properly.
Open the office each morning and make sure the space is set up and ready for the team.
Take on new operational projects as the company grows and priorities change.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or a generalist operations role, ideally at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
Proven ability to own a broad, varied set of responsibilities and operate autonomously with little guidance.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong instinct for follow-through on vendors, orders, and open loops.
Calm, driven, and direct, with the ability to stay steady and solutions-oriented in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
Comfortable working alongside a small, quiet, highly technical team, and excited to bring structure and practical systems to an early-stage company.
Experience managing vendors, contractors, or facilities, with experience in procurement, shipping logistics, or real estate coordination as a plus.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, landlords, and outside partners.
Proficient with Google Workspace and Slack, with the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
Genuine interest in AI and robotics, and excitement about being part of a company in build mode.
