Responsibilities

As an OFCI Manager, you’ll oversee owner-furnished equipment from ordering through site delivery, installation, and final testing.

 

HazTek is seeking an experienced OFCI Manager in Houston, TX to manage critical equipment lifecycles on a large-scale construction project. This role is essential in coordinating vendors, tracking equipment deliveries, avoiding site delays, and ensuring all gear is ready for startup and handover.

 

  • Defines equipment requirements and manages vendor delivery timelines
  • Coordinates equipment shipments, site receiving, storage, and contractor handoffs
  • Tracks vendor startup support, controls integration, and integrated systems testing (Levels 2–5)
  • Identifies supply chain risks early and works with site teams to prevent installation delays
  • Maintains complete equipment logs, including serial numbers, warranties, and spare parts
  •  
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction equipment management or project engineering required
  • Direct experience managing Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment packages
  • Experience working on data center builds or large commercial/industrial projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of vendor startup processes, BMS/controls integration, and system testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
