Full Job Description
Loeb & Loeb's Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditor's Rights Department is seeking an Associate to join its New York office.

This role is ideal for a self-starter and litigator with at least three years of hands-on bankruptcy litigation experience and have a strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code. Candidates must have strong research, analytical, and exceptional brief and memo writing abilities, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. A key part of the evaluation will be a candidate's writing samples as well as the candidate's experience handling litigation-related tasks, including (among other things), drafting motions, oppositions to motions, declarations, discovery requests and responses and objections to incoming discovery requests.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court workouts, and bankruptcy litigation
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare detailed memoranda and pleadings on bankruptcy and restructuring issues
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders, maintaining a client-centric, professional approach
• Stay current on legal developments and industry trends in bankruptcy law

- Attend bankruptcy court hearings

Qualifications:
• J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials required
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 3rd to 4th year associate with 3+ years of commercial litigation and bankruptcy experience
• An ideal candidate is a self-starter with a genuine interest in bankruptcy with the desire of acquiring increasing amounts of responsibilities with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will also be able to harness AI and other resources and apply critical analytical skills.
• 1 -2 writing samples must be submitted. Writing sample must be a maximum of 10-15 pages double spaced, written within last 5 years, and clearly written by you without significant editing by others. Law Review articles are not preferred as writing samples.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with attention to detail
