About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NXOpen Developer to support the development of advanced CAD automation solutions and digital engineering tools within the Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environment. This role will partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to translate design and manufacturing requirements into scalable automation tools, workflows, and integrations that improve product development efficiency and support digital manufacturing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain NXOpen applications, custom tools, and automation solutions within Siemens NX.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to implement engineering algorithms, design constraints, and manufacturing requirements into user-friendly software solutions.
  • Build and support integrations between NX, Teamcenter PLM, and downstream manufacturing systems.
  • Design and develop data pipelines that enable advanced digital engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) workflows.
  • Create custom NX user interfaces utilizing technologies such as NX Open UIStyler, Block UI, and Reuse Library Dialogs.
  • Support code repository management, version control, documentation, and software development best practices.
  • Partner with deployment and sustainment teams to support enterprise implementation and long-term maintenance of developed solutions.
  • Participate in iterative development cycles, including prototyping, testing, validation, and deployment activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Siemens NX Open API, Teamcenter SOA (TcSOA), and C# development.
  • Experience working with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environments.
  • Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), engineering best practices, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing process automation solutions and engineering workflows.
  • Ability to create custom NX user interfaces and integrate business logic into user-facing applications.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to evolving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting production vehicle or product design within NX.
  • Knowledge of automated testing methodologies and unit test development.
  • Understanding of downstream CAD data consumers, model usage, and digital thread processes.
  • Background in manufacturing, tooling, fixture design, or production engineering.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with Teamcenter ITK/RAC customizations, dataset structures, and CAD integration workflows.
  • Experience utilizing GPDL tools.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Knowledge Fusion and support of legacy NX automation solutions.
